After a year, finally an update!
So, I haven't done an actual blog entry in over a year. I am so bad at this. I think my new years resolution should be more diligent in my blogging! Jacob is three now. I can't believe how the time is flying by. He is 37 pounds now and wearing 4t clothes! His birthday and Christmas were fun for him this year. He had fun opening presents and visiting with Santa. Last year he wouldn't go near Santa and this year he was actually excited to go see him. It's fun to see him so pumped about different things and seeing him enjoy things that we did as kids, like Rudolph and the Grinch.
Now that Christmas is over I am ready for summer. I am very excited that we are going camping this year with a bunch of other Ethiopian adoptive families! We have not been able to make it that last few years that they have done it and I was always bummed. But this year, we WILL go no matter what! I have our site reserved so no excuses! That will be a fun weekend plus that is the same weekend as Gotcha Day.
So, that's all for now. Hopefully I will keep up better on this. The time just seems to get away from me. Oh well. Happy New Year everyone!!!!!!

Poem
I saw this on someones blog and liked it so much that I had to share it here....
Two Women
“Once there were two women … Who never knew each other …
One you do not remember … The other you call Mother …
Two different lives … Shaped to make you one …
One became your guiding star … The other became your sun …
The first one gave you life … The second taught you to live it …
The first gave you a need for love … The second was there to give it
One gave you nationality … The other gave you a name …
One gave you talent … The other gave you aim …
One gave you emotion … The other calmed your fears …
One saw your first sweet smile … The other dried your tears …
One sought for you a home … That she could not provide …
The other prayed for a child … And her hope was not denied …
And now you ask me through your tears …
The age-old question unanswered through the years …
Heredity or environment … Which are you a product of?
Neither my darling, neither … Just two different kinds of Love …"
