Three Years

I cannot believe that it has been 3 years since we took our precious Jacob with us from Enat Alem!. How the time has flown by. I am thankful everyday that I have been given the chance to raise this wonderful child!!

After almost 5 years

When we started our adoption journey, we began it in the China program. Our LID was 6/27/2007. About a year and a half into our wait, we switched to the Ethiopia program. I have been still following along with the progress of adoptions from China partly because I was curious of when we would have receive a referral had we not switched programs and partly because I have made some friends along the way and am thrilled when they get to see their little ones for the first time. Well, this week the people who shared our LID received their referrals. I never for one minute regret the path that we chose. I wouldn't want it any other way. I love my son more than anything. But, I would be lying if I said there wasn't a small part of me that isn't a little sad. Wouldn't it have been great for Jacob to have a sister? Maybe someday........
